New Song!!

New Song!

So this song I’m about to post is incredible.  It’s very mellow and the words are great.  It is simply called “Duet.”  It is a duet between Rachael Yamagata and Ray LaMontagne.  I heard it for the for the first time last Sunday in the background of an episode of Brothers and Sisters.

Week 3!!

Well, I was on my way home from work today.  I had the windows down and the weather was perfect.  This song came on the radio and it was such a great song! It caught my attention immediately!  It is Jason Mraz singing, “I’m Yours”!

WEEK 2!

So after watching the VMA’s the other night on MTV, I wanted to post this song cause it’s pretty catchy!  This song and P!nk’s performance were the only highlights of the show for me.  I didn’t really care for the rest of the performances, presenters, and especially the host!

Song: Life In a Northern Town

Artist: Sugarland

“Life in a Northern Town” is a song originally by The Dream Academy, a British folk rock group.  The song was the opening track to their 1985 debut album, The Dream Academy.  The lyrics are references to Tanworth-in-Arden (England) native Nick Drake, who died of an antidepressant overdose in 1974.  The Dream Academy did this song in tribute to Nick Drake.

In 2007, Sugarland, along with Little Big Town and Jake Owen did a cover on this song on their Change for Change tour.  The music video above is just a filming of a live performance.
